The Hoya UX II UV HMC WR is a screw-on protective camera filter designed to absorb ultraviolet light and provide daily physical protection for your lens front element. Acting as a redesigned successor to the popular HMC UV(C) filter, the “UX” stands for “User eXperience”.

10-Layer HMC-WR Coating: Features a 10-layer Hoya Multi-Coated Water-Repellent (HMC-WR) coating applied to both sides of the professional-grade optical glass. It effectively minimises ghosting and lens flare while maintaining high light transmittance.

Water & Oil Repellent: The “WR” coating actively repels water droplets, fingerprints, grease, and smudges. This makes it much easier to clean in rough outdoor environments.

Low-Profile Aluminium Frame: Built with a very thin, one-piece aluminium frame designed to prevent vignetting (dark corners) when shooting with wide-angle or super-wide-angle lenses. The front section includes an integrated screw thread so you can still stack other filters or securely clip on your standard lens cap.

UV Spectrum Suppression: Filters out ambient ultraviolet light rays that can cause unwanted haze, blurred contours, or a faded, whitish tint in landscapes or seaside environments.
