The Leica Trinovid 8×32 BA is a legendary “classic” binocular. Renowned for its tank-like durability and compact “brick” design, it was the state-of-the-art mid-size optic of its era.
- Rugged Construction: Features a die-cast aluminium chassis wrapped in a shock-absorbing polyurethane/rubber shell. It is nitrogen-filled and waterproof to 5m.
- Optical Signature: Known for the warm “Leica colours” and exceptional baffling that minimises internal reflections, making it excellent for viewing near bright light sources at night.
- Compact Form: Remarkably small for an 8×32, though fairly heavy (approx. 636g) by modern standards due to its all-metal and leaded-glass construction.
