- Planar Optical Symmetry: The classic Zeiss Planar design ensures uniform edge-to-edge sharpness, minimal chromatic aberration, and near-perfect flatness of field. It provides smooth, creamy background separation (bokeh) for portrait work.
- EV Coupling Lock: Features a manual interlocking mechanism that ties the aperture ring and shutter speed ring together. Photographers can lock in a metered Exposure Value (EV) and shift settings quickly without recalculating exposures.
- F-Mode for Focal Plane Bodies: Includes an “F” setting switch. This disables the lens leaf shutter, keeping it open to let the fast focal-plane shutters of Hasselblad 2000 or 200-series bodies dictate exposure.
