The Opticron ES v3 ES 80 fieldscope is designed and manufactured to deliver ‘best in class’ optical performance combined with rugged dependability and user comfort. The absence of almost all visible chromatic aberration at even the highest magnification settings combined with superior resolution and colour contrast sets them apart from similarly priced products from other brands.

- Rugged Materials: Built from a lightweight blend of magnesium, aluminium, and polycarbonate.
- Rubber Armouring: Fully encased in a textured, soft-touch rubber shell that protects the internal housing from drops and ensures a non-slip grip.
- Nitrogen Waterproofing: The internal barrels are gas-purged and sealed, preventing internal fogging or condensation when moving between extreme temperature changes.
- Dual Focus System: Operates on an accurate focus wheel with an 8:1 dual-ratio setup. This allows you to make quick, coarse focal shifts followed by ultra-fine adjustments.
Rotating Tripod Sleeve: Outfitted with a large +/- 90-degree rotating tripod sleeve, allowing you to alter the viewing angle quickly when mounted.
- ED Objective Lens System: Features a tri-element, 100% made-in-Japan Extra-low Dispersion (ED) objective glass. This design almost completely eliminates visible chromatic aberration (colour fringing), keeping images sharp even at maximum magnification.
- F-Type Multi-Coatings: Built with Opticron’s differential F-type high-refractive-index multi-coatings. These layers significantly maximise light transmission, providing superior colour contrast, brightness, and low-light clarity.
