Item Description
The Olympus / OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm f/4.5 TC1.25x IS PRO is the absolute pinnacle of super-telephoto zoom lenses for the Micro Four Thirds (MFT) system.
Affectionately known by enthusiasts as “Big White”, it is specifically engineered for professional wildlife, sports, and nature photographers who need extreme reach without the prohibitive bulk of full-frame equivalents
Key Features
- Focal Length: 150-400mm. Because of the MFT 2x crop factor, this provides a 300-800mm full-frame equivalent field of view.
- Built-in 1.25x Teleconverter: Flipping an integrated external switch immediately morphs the lens into a 187.5-500mm range (375-1000mm full-frame equivalent).
- Aperture: Constant f/4.5 wide open across the entire standard zoom range. It shifts to a constant f/5.6 when the internal teleconverter is engaged.
- Image Stabilisation: Features built-in 5-axis Sync IS. On its own, the lens gives 4.5 stops of stabilisation, but when paired with a compatible body (like the OM-1 series), it delivers up to an industry-leading 8.0 EV steps of stabilisation.
- Weight & Dimensions: Weighs just 1,875g (4.13 lbs) and measures 314.3mm (12.4 inches) in length.
- Macro Capabilities: Boasts an impressively close minimum focusing distance of 1.3 metres across the entire zoom range, offering up to 0.71x maximum image magnification (35mm equivalent) for incredible handheld tele-macro shots.
