Item Description
The Nikon MD-4 motor drive is a dedicated accessory for the Nikon F3 series of cameras, providing automatic film advance, continuous shooting, and an ergonomic grip. It was designed to enhance the camera’s speed and handling, especially for action and wildlife photography.

- Compatibility: Exclusively designed for use with the Nikon F3, F3HP, F3/T, and F3AF camera bodies.
- Shooting Modes: Features a mode selector knob for single-frame (S) or continuous (C) firing, as well as a lock (L) position.
- Frame Rate: Capable of up to 4 frames per second (fps) with 8 AA alkaline-manganese batteries, or up to 6 fps using the optional rechargeable NiCd Battery Unit MN-2.
- Automatic Film Rewind: The motor drive automatically stops winding when the film ends and can rewind a 36-exposure film in under 8 seconds with AA batteries (4.5 seconds with the MN-2 unit).
- Power Source: Requires eight AA-type batteries or the NiCd MN-2 battery pack. The motor drive can also supply power to the camera body, conserving the camera’s internal battery life.
- Ergonomics: Provides an additional grip with a secondary, electromagnetic shutter release button that also activates the camera’s exposure meter when depressed halfway.
