Item Description
The Canon T90 is a professional-grade 35mm SLR film camera introduced in 1986, widely recognized for its innovative ergonomic design and advanced features which influenced later DSLRs. It was the last professional camera to use the Canon FD lens mount.
Key Features
- Ergonomics: Designed by German industrial designer Luigi Colani, the T90 broke from traditional boxy designs with a rounded, modern look and an ergonomic grip, earning it the nickname “the tank” among Japanese photojournalists for its ruggedness.
- Exposure Modes: The camera offers a wide range of exposure modes, including full manual, aperture priority, shutter priority, and several program modes. It also features a unique multi-spot metering system that allows users to average up to eight spot meter readings.
- Integrated Motor Drive: The T90 includes a powerful built-in motor drive capable of high-speed continuous shooting at 4.5 frames per second (fps).
- Shutter: It boasts a vertical-travel focal-plane electronic shutter with speeds ranging from 30 seconds to a fast 1/4000 second, and a flash X-sync speed of 1/250 second.
- Flash System: It was the first Canon camera to support through-the-lens (TTL) flash metering.
- Power: The camera is powered by four readily available AA batteries.
